Whatsapp has added new updates or features for iOS and Android users to improve chats, video calls, and more. Whatsapp is a cross-platform messaging, voice over IP service, and American freeware owned by Facebook Inc.
It allows users to send files, images, documents, text messages, voice, and video calls among others.
It has been recently announced that Whatsapp is about adding new features to promote a better experience for users.
Maximize your video calls on the new WhatsApp update
What users should bear in mind is that these features maximize the video calling experience by increasing the number of people on a video call. These features include QR Codes, Dark mode for web, Animated stickers, and many more.
This is a breakdown of what these new features mean in the actual sense. For QR Codes, users can now scan newly met friends QR Codes before adding them to their contacts. The new contact will be saved within your chat app, complete with home address, mobile number, profile picture, email address, twitter handle, and many more. The previous case of tapping in their digits one at a time is no more.
The next feature is the dark mode for web and desktop. For those who use the computer to Whatsapp, the popular dark mode theme now extends to the computer.
Another WhatsApp feature is improvements to group video calls. Eight people can now stay on a video call and it is easier to focus on whoever you choose by pressing and holding to maximize a participant’s video to full screen. There is also an added video icon in the group chat of eight or less so you can easily start a video call with one tap. Tapping on the + icon in the corner of any chat window gives users the option to launch a new messenger room call which can host people from Facebook, Messenger, and Whatsapp. As time goes on, Instagram will be added.
QR Codes, Dark mode for web, & Animated stickers among the new WhatsApp updates
Animated sticker: Whatsapp has now included its own GIF-like stickers. One of the frequent ways users use to chat on Whatsapp is the use of stickers. Many see it to be fun and easy to go with so with the animated stickers, they are more expressive and fun. These expressive animations can be sent individually or paired side- by- side in batches of two exactly like the static stickers previously available in the facebook-owned chat app
The last feature is status comes to KaiOS. What it means is that KaiOS can now share updates that disappear after twenty-four hours.
