As it starts to roll out to older Honour models, Huawei HarmonyOS 4 has once more made headlines. Users have praised this decision. Some customers were worried that Honour smartphones will be left behind when Huawei first revealed its HarmonyOS 4 upgrade list. Many were shocked when the firm revealed a schedule for bringing HarmonyOS 4 to Honor’s earlier handsets.
Huawei’s Considerate Step Towards Older Honour Users: Reviving Legacy Devices
The Honour 30, Honour 30 Pro, Honour 30 Pro+, Honour V30, Honour V30 Pro, and Honour Play4 Pro are among the models getting the update. These models’ owners can apply for the HarmonyOS 4 Beta upgrade through “My Huawei.”
The user experience has substantially improved as HarmonyOS has advanced from version 2.0 to 4.0 in a short period of time. With Huawei’s HarmonyOS growing popularity, this growth shows that Android and iOS are no longer the only operating systems available for smartphones.
Within two weeks after its release, HarmonyOS 4 had 5 million users, including 1 million on the first day. It has customizable themes, a better notification centre, and a “Live Window” function for in-the-moment alerts.
Possibly competing with Microsoft’s rumored Windows 12, Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development CEO Wang Chenglu hinted at an official HarmonyOS release for PCs next year. With modified drivers, HarmonyOS has previously demonstrated its compatibility on an HP laptop.
HarmonyOS is positioned to secure a sizeable portion of the future market and challenge the dominance of traditional operating systems as it gains traction and broadens its ecosystem.
