The OnePlus Open and Oppo Find N3 foldables, which are essentially the same gadget, are just one example of how Oppo and OnePlus have been sharing more and more in common over the past few years.
Practically everything between the OnePlus Open and Oppo Find N3 is shared. identical specifications, cameras, hinges, and screens. You can tell in person that everything is the same. The Find N3, which 9to5Google briefly had the opportunity to use early in the summer, is the exact same device we ultimately received in the OnePlus Open.
Oppo even said at the time that the OnePlus Open simply serves as the “global version” of the Find N3.
The debut of Oppo’s book-style foldables outside of China is surely welcome news. The Find N and Find N2 both failed to reach international markets, and it appears that the Find N3 will not either until it is given the OnePlus Open name.
The software and fit and finish are the only real differences. While the Open is only offered in black and green, the Find N3 is sold in a variety of colors, including red, gold, and others. The Open uses OxygenOS, whereas the Find N3 uses ColorOS (the two are similar).
Thus, yes. The only difference is that these phones are for different markets. Will that persist in upcoming releases? Let’s see! I would prefer if OnePlus’ major flagships kept at least some of their own characteristics, but if it’s for flip phones, I hope that we see more crossover.
