Xiaomi is preparing to release the much-awaited HyperOS 1.0, a state-of-the-art integrated system built around Google’s Android 14. The goal of this new operating system is to support the growing Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem by slickly integrating different devices to improve interconnectivity and performance.
Based on Linux, HyperOS makes use of Xiaomi’s Vela system for improved resource management and efficiency. Through the use of Xiaomi Vela, the company is also advancing open-source development by establishing a human-centric ecosystem that links smart home, automotive, and personal technologies.
